On October 20 in Hanoi, minister of Transport Dinh La Thang and Finnish Minister of Economic Affairs Jan Vapaavuori signed a bilateral agreement on air transport between the two countries.
The agreement comprises 26 articles and an appendix on a number of regulations, including transport rights, appointed airlines and aircrafts, fees, air security safety and equal competition rules.
Once the agreement is implemented, it will not only create favourable conditions for the assigned airlines to take advantage of the respective aviation markets and third party markets, but also promote bilateral cooperation on economics, tourism, trade and cultural exchanges in the near future.
Earlier that day, Ministers Thang and Jan Vappaavuori reviewed transport cooperation between Vietnam and Finland in the last few years.
